I believe photojournalism enhances wedding photography
I am still fairly new to photography only picking up the camera back in 2018 however, my love for photojournalism, documentarians and cinema has fueled my eagerness to learn and communicate my perspective.
When the world abruptly halted during the pandemic, I had some free-time to explore & research analogue photography with the intention of incorporating it into my wedding work. In the last 2 years I have pulled analogue cameras apart, put them back together, bought old parts, sold new parts and studied color theory to develop my style.
Although my work has been considered unorthodox the thrill of blending mathematical sciences & extreme color theory to blended mediums of photography has produced a rich portfolio I am humbly proud of.
“For where is any author in the world Teaches such beauty as a woman’s eye?”
― William Shakespeare
For Shakespeare, beauty was a natural and powerful force of love; it could change the course of a person’s life and affect their character for better or worse - but photography demonstrates how admiration can exist without vanity and it’s discovery has been a profound experience for me.
"One year later and every time I look at our wedding photos I fall in love all over again"
“That’s exactly how I remember it”
Jasmine is SENSATIONAL. Even as I write this, I am unsure if that word truly embodies how wonderful and talented a human she truly is. We held a 50 person intimate COVID destination wedding two weeks ago, and looking at these photos took us straight back to that memorable day. I think my MOH said it best after looking at the sneaks I shared. “That’s exactly how I remember it,” she said. “Genuine.” I think that word best describes Jasmine and her work. Genuine. Jasmine genuinely cares. She genuinely cares about you. She genuinely cares about her work. She genuinely cares about capturing your day, no matter the event, exactly how you remember it. Book Jasmine - You won’t regret it.
Jasmine is the best wedding photographer in the universe. I felt as though we had been friends for years and everything was super fun, natural and organic when it came to her captures. I truly adore her artistic family shots of us in our record shop as well. I know our friendship will be a forever one and I am so thankful that our paths crossed. She is a photo genius and true gem of a human being. Don’t look anywhere else, she is exceptional. It was a dream having her capture our family. If you want incredibly stunning photos she is the best in the biz!
First, her work is to die for. It is emotional, heartfelt, and full of character. She doesn’t just capture a beautiful photo, she captures a special moment in time with elegance. She naturally has an eye for this, hence, the amazing results she is able to deliver. Now, on a personal level - Jasmine is the sweetest, most kind hearted person. She makes you so comfortable while shooting , and is able to guide and pose you without making you feel like a complete rookie. She gives a great combo of posed and candid shots (let’s face it, we all need some posing). Don’t waste your time looking further. Seriously.
I am blown away by my entire wedding gallery. I would recommend Jasmine 110% she completely exceeded our expectations. It’s a little overwhelming on your wedding day because you want these photos to be perfect - and with Jasmine’s help/instruction, she captured the most beautiful moments. Not once did anything feel forced - she moved us naturally and with that the photos turned out drool worthy. She has an amazing eye - and love her confidence in what she does. And on top of it all, she is as sweet as can be! I feel I also gained a friend in Jasmine
Aura captured the wonders of our day. Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia. It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences fly into your mouth. Even the all-powerful Pointing has no control about the.
